If your document requires notarisation and is in a language other than English, our Notary can proceed as long as there is a complete English translation available. Additionally, a document can be notarized in a foreign language if our Notary is satisfied that you fully understand the legally binding agreement. However, an English translation is necessary if the document will be legalised.
Approved Sworn Translations
“Sworn” translations are stamped by a qualified translator who has been sworn in by the relevant courts or embassy. Certain overseas registries, such as those in Austria, Brazil, Germany, Greece, and Poland, require documents to be “sworn translated” before they can be accepted for filing. We are happy to arrange the translation, certification by the sworn translator or embassy, legalisation/apostille (if needed), and the dispatch of the original stamped translations to your foreign recipients.
Certified Notarial Certification in Foreign Languages
The UK does not formally swear in translators. Instead, the equivalent involves a notary certifying that a translation is an accurate and faithful representation of the original document. This certification can be based on a certificate signed by the translator or if the notary is personally qualified in that language. Our network includes fully qualified translators, enabling us to arrange and certify translations quickly without compromising quality. Some of our Notaries are qualified translators and members of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. We are always prepared to provide notarial certification that the translation is accurate in the target language.
